Pneumatic Transport

about

Pneumatic Transport

STI has developed pneumatic transport systems using various suction or blowing methods, both in dense and dilute phase, for handling powders and bulk materials.
As a leader in the industry in Tunisia, X offers a complete range of pneumatic transport systems designed to ensure the efficiency and regularity of your product movement. These installations are designed to reduce energy costs and the frequency of maintenance operations while ensuring increased protection and strengthening competitiveness.
STI has developed specific pneumatic transport solutions that combine maximum product protection with minimal transport gas consumption. These systems can handle even abrasive and fragile materials.
Pneumatic transport under pressure operates by exploiting pressure differences. We have highlighted a filtration system aimed at eliminating dust due to overpressure between the airlock and the receiving silo. Pressurized air is the driving force for material movement. This method ensures both efficiency and safety.

Dilute Phase Pneumatic Transport

Pneumatic transport allows the transfer of various types of bulk materials, such as dust or granulated products. Transport systems can be made of painted black steel, galvanized steel, or stainless steel.
STI offers pneumatic transport systems for the industry. Competing with bucket elevators, mechanical transport, screw conveyors, and chain conveyors, this technology involves transferring diluted products in the air with various concentrations.
It is essential to calculate the parameters involved in the transfer process to ensure the efficient transport of powders. STI a développé un système de dosage permettant de déterminer la vitesse de l’air et la quantité nécessaire au dosage.

Dense Phase Pneumatic Transport

Operating Principle and Applications

Dense phase pneumatic transfer systems are designed to convey various types of products over distances of up to 250 m, with flow rates exceeding 15 T/h.
These systems are designed to transfer products at speeds ranging from 1 to 5 m/s, preserving the integrity of fragile products, reducing installation wear, and minimizing energy consumption.
They are useful for transporting between different production units and storage or filling silos. These pneumatic conveyors include pressurized airlocks, made of black steel or stainless steel, and can be adapted for food applications.
